Latest bear boy PeekABoo

PeekABoo is 11"(28cm) tall

He is made of Shulte mohair

and is stuffed with polyfill and glass granules;

He has needle felted nose, eyelids and paws;

PeekABoo has pastel toned details

and also acrylic painted bits;

PeekABoo's arms and legs are wired 

which means that they are flexible and 

the bear is completely posable;

PeekABoo wears a handmade metal necklace

that consists of:

thick metal chain with a lock,

2 silky ribbons,

metal bell,

celtic knot charm

and a vintage rusty key

The bear has a sweet hump

and a tiny tail :)

TOBY Industry's Choice Award 2011!!!

Sunday morning I got the best news 

any teddy bear artist can ever get..

My Barnaby won a TOBY Industry's Choice Award 2011!!!

It is such an honor,

I still can not believe it!

Barnaby won in the Small Artist Bear, Dressed category

and I had to keep it a secret for two days..

(that was incredibly hard, trust me)

But the list has been published now

and I couldn't resist sharing the great news with you!

I also want to congratulate all the winners,

This is certainly a great start of the year!

And a dream come true...

Tiny Tito (adopted)

Tito is an experiment.

I sort of challenged myself 

to see if I could make a realistic body

for a bear cub.

Tito is made of Shulte chocolate viscose

and is stuffed with steel shot, glass granules

and polyfill;

He's got needle felted face with a realistic bear nose

and a sweet shy grin :)

His face and paws are pastel toned

and his eyes have acrylic painted bits;

Tito wears 3 silky ribbons that 

form a colorful bow all together;

The hardest part for me was making his pose 

as natural as possible, and 

at the same time I was trying to stick with a 

simple and sweet style..

Well...it's up to you to decide how he turned out!

Oh..and he is just 5"(12cm) tall!

Here's a chubby little fellow

that's currently residing in my place :)

Tobias the Wabbit 

Tobias is made of light beige

Shulte-Steiff mohair;

-stuffed with polyfill, steel shot and

glass granules;

8"(without ears) - 21cm

Has black glass eyes

and needle felted face and paws(all 4);

Tobias has acrylic painted and pastel toned

details on his face, ears and paws

(oh, and his tail :P)

- wears a knitted woolen cardigan

with 3 vintage buttons

(real, yes, from USSR :))

and a silky fuchsia ribbon 

around his neck.
